Volley ball matches, many games for children and refreshments were part of the program on all 4 Open Sunday’s.
At one location we had a health post. One of our DI’s was in charge of weighing and measuring people including fat %, pulse and blood pressure. She used the opportunity to explain health issues.
At another location we had a group consisting of 16 young dancers. They did a performance of traditional Garifuna dance to great enjoyment for the audience.
The project leaders used the opportunity of the Open Sunday to hand over footballs and volleyballs to the newly established youth clubs. The project has now 21 clubs. The youths will in the coming weeks prepare themselves for a sport tournament also hosted by Child Aid Toledo.
.... Open Sundays for all the people in the project area are joyful and good and can be very mobilizing.
